Air Freshener — NYC Kicks × Sour Taxi F1 by Budderton
NYC Kicks × Sour Taxi — F1 hybrid
Air Freshener brings together two pungent, Chem-influenced lines with documented roots in unusual fruit funk, Sour Diesel character and aggressive chemical aromas.
NYC Kicks is Budderton’s Carls Shoes × NYC Chem cross, combining a Carls Shoes selection described for its strange berry-and-body-odour character with an exceptionally pungent NYC Chem male. Sour Taxi, created by Emeraldgreen, pairs an old New York Sour Diesel clone with Dirty Taxi, a Top Dawg cross built from GMO (Chem D × Cookies) and Chem D/I-95.
The result is a cross with the potential for a broad range of loud, unconventional expressions. Rather than assuming a sweet or perfumed profile from the name, the documented parent traits point toward sour fuel, sharp chemical-cleaner aromas, acrid funk and potentially unusual citrus or fruit notes.
Flavor & Aroma
The strongest documented direction is sour, fuel-forward and chemical. Sour Taxi selections have been described with raw fuel, chemical cleaners and rotting lemon peel, while some plants added onion, garlic and body-odour funk. The Carls Shoes parent introduces another possibility: an unusual berry-like fruit character layered with pungency.
Air Freshener could express anything from sharp sour-citrus and chemical-fruit aromas to heavier Chem funk, garlic, fuel and savoury funk. These are possibilities supported by the parent histories, not a confirmed description of the Air Freshener F1 offspring.
Effects
Sour Taxi has received reports of strong, heavy effects, including Budderton’s description of a very narcotic hit. However, no direct Air Freshener F1 effect report has been established here. Its eventual effect profile should be treated as unknown until plants from this specific cross have been evaluated.
Grower Notes
The parents suggest that growers may encounter variation in both structure and aroma. Sour Taxi produced tall, stretchy plants as well as shorter, stockier examples, with differences in flower shape and aromatic expression. NYC Kicks was described by Budderton as Sour-like in growth habit, but wider with denser flowers.
Those observations provide useful context for what the cross might produce, but Air Freshener-specific flowering time, yield, finished height and phenotype ratios remain undocumented.
Why It’s Interesting
Air Freshener combines a documented Sour Diesel-derived line with a cross carrying Carls Shoes, NYC Chem, GMO, Chem D, Cookies and I-95 ancestry. Its appeal lies in the potential intersection of sour fuel, chemical-cleaner character, unusual fruit funk and pungent Chem expressions.
